Arundhati Deosthale is a journalist, writer and editor published in English, Hindi, and Marathi. She did a two-year stint with UNESCO and served in Sahitya Akademi. She headed Publishing & Book Clubs in Scholastic India. She has done a lot of journalistic writing, and has translated over 100 books for children from different countries into English and Hindi. Arundhati loves nature, dogs and travel.

Arvind Kumar has given more than four decades to the publishing industry starting with Radhakrishna Prakashan. He served as the Director of National Book Trust (1986-97) and then moved on to be the Founder Managing Director of Scholastic India (1997-2005). He has travelled around the globe for book promotional activities and International book fairs. He has set up a publishing house to create learning and reading opportunities for the unprivileged children in rural India. Arvind enjoys classical music, both Indian and Western, and loves mountains.

Deepak Seth had been actively involved in printing-publishing Christian Literature in India before he retired in 2008. Presently he is associated with the project of producing the first Bible Commentary from India, being written from Dalit Perspective. Deepak has an ear for music, loves laughter and books!

Shekhar Pathak is scholar in History, a writer and activist for the conservation and nurturing of Himalayan ecology and culture. He is a founder-member of People's Association for Himalaya Area Research (PAHAR), set up in 1983. He has taught History at Kumaun University and has been a Nehru Fellow at the Centre for Contemporary Studies at Teen Murti in New Delhi. He was awarded the Padma Shri by Govt. of India in 2007.

Raphael Israel comes from a family of publishers and heads Dolphin Press, a publishing house for books and cheerful learning material for children. He believes in making learning enjoyable for children and has very attractive product-line of 'book plus things' to engage them actively in fun activities at home and in schools. Raphael travels extensively, chasing his passion to create happy childhood for children across the globe.

Achla Sawhney worked in the banking sector for nearly 20 years and then moved to being an enterpreneur exporting hand made gift items all over the world. Mountains had always beckoned, so one day she just packed her bags and moved. Her mother was an educationist so education has always been very close to her heart.

Hema Arya has been an advocate of literacy and upward mobility for the village women. She is a good public speaker, motivator and has handled various responsibilities for Mahila Samakhya — a local group for women's welfare.

Devaki Gutholia has been the Deputy chief of the village and has been an active member of Mahila Samakhya — an organisation serving as women's voice on local issues and needs.

Govind Singh Negi has been a primary school teacher and is now engaged in innovative organic farming.His passion is keeping the village clean and free of plastic and making nutricious food available to children.

Kailash Tiwari is a businessman and enjoys tremendous goodwill among the villagers for his helpfulness.

Deepa Bhatt has been one of the most vocal supporters of the supporters of the library and coordinator of activities for children. She is preparing for her BA final exam and has already completed an online diploma in primary teaching. She dreams of being a teacher.

Anandi Bhatt loves children and she loves books and not necessarily in that order. Imaginative and hard-working Anandi, surely has it in her what the best librarians in the world are made of. She is also one person who has grown up with the library. She has done her BA and aspires to be a teacher.
